True. But "the look" has been a part of metal since the beginning, why can't you laugh at it?
I do, but i don't disregard the music for it... To me they could be dress in baby dyepers (Is it like this :roll: ?!?!) the music would still be excellent anyway.
Of course image is an important part of metal... but only in those forms of metal are profound, critical and are considered as a form of protest for example.
In the case of COB, they're just telling tales, stories (very well written by the way), thus they only have to act like it (or not). It depends on the band and their aproach to the music they made.
Therefore, some bands are credible, the topics of the songs are the way they think and act. For other is just one art form.
I don't belive that COB is drinking blood of deflouring vestal virgins or torturing christians. It is just a way of expressing their art, with some religious critic. Ok they look like idiots but who cares, the music is good, the stories (lyrics) are interresting.
