This weekend the only festival that's worth going to in the UK is kicking off and kicking in.

So, we've got Axl and his band, a badly aging Metallica, Trivium, a badly fattening Korn, an even more fatter Deftones and the arse which is Avenged Sevenfold. On the plus side we've got Dragonforce, Tool, Opeth, Cathedral and In Flames. Also worth seeing is the reformed Alice in Chains. There really is a mixed baggage this year, so is your £150 well spent?

I think major festivals are all about how much money the organisers can screw out of Joe Public (yep, I'm a serial sucker!). I mean at Leeds/Reading this year they've got Slayer & Pearl Jam on the mainstage, on the same day!

But saying that, I do go to these things with darker aspirations... I did poo in a hanky and chucked it at 50 cent at Leeds two years ago... joy!

I guess to get the best out of a festival, you have to have some complete shite to complement the good. Avenged Sevenfold can expect an 'special' delivery come Saturday and watching the lead singer's gimpy little wanky golden gumshielded face with my turd in it will be worth every penny!

I've just looked at the times when bands are on with many annoying clashes. So questions are- Dragonforce Vs Soilwork, Clutch Vs Coheed & Cambria, Devil Driver Vs Arch Enemy?

Dragonforce, because Soilwork are bad.
Clutch, because C&C are a Rush rip-off (their vocalist is SO obviously trying to sound like Geddy Lee)
And Arch Enemy, because men with tattooed beards are Wrong.
