That song is fucking amazing!!! i need to buy it!!! Is their other stuff of this high standard?

You can get it from www.tzadik.com search for masada or something. The album is named Masada String Trio - 50th Birthday Celebration Volume One
If you like this song I'm sure you'll have no problem with the rest of the album either.

I checked out vol 4 of the 50th Birthday Celebration, Electric Masada. I wasn't expecting like it more hoping. its pretty cool for jazz but not the type of music i would listen to. I checked out this site looking for samples the other day (to no avail) and i have to say Mr. Zorn is a very bussy man, relesing like 6 albums a year!!! That impressive. I'm pretty sure i'll order vol 1 at the end of the month, i'll let you know what i think when i get it.

Hehe, the Electric Masada is really different from the Masada String Trio. Let me tell you Zorn does everything from free jazz to almost Grindcore to film composistions to gypsy to klezmer to whatever the hell he wants. Vol 4 is really NOTHING like vol 1, it's a competely different gerne ;) (I like that one too btw)

I just checked out some stuff off Filmworks XVI, its very cool. I might track this one down too. But again its so diferent to everything i heard by him before (which isn't much).

I've been listening to the first track off vol 4 a few times more and i'm begining to like it. Theres a lot to digest and i think it will take many listens before i can fully appreciate it.

That first track is partly intro, I think I like the other tracks better. Say, do you still use that email-address from your profile?

I'm listening to some more of the album now and its pretty good, but needs some work on my part to really get into it i think. I do use that email but i don't check it as much as i should because of the amount of junk i get, but i 've replied to your mail now

Rotting christ's 'Non-Serviam' album freaked me out cos it was my first black metal experience. but even after listening to loads of bands now, it still freaks me out.

and there's something bout rotting christ which is freaky. i can play black metal all day long and nothing happens. but whenever i play rotting christ (especially from 'Thy mighty contract, non-serviam'), i realise my neighbours' dogs start barking. even when i play during the day, they'll bark at night. freaky. it only happens when i play rotting christ.

The one I remember most was Dragonforce. First sound I listened to was Black Fire and I remember nearly falling out of my seat in awe. This was while I was just getting into metal so I'd never heard anything like it before.

Oh and if anyone's a listener of HORSE the band, on the song Octopus on Fire at about 1:28 and for around 10 second after that. Everytime I listen to it I'm compelled to yell "yeah!" very loudly.

Symphony X- Divine wings of tragedy

Especially the part when it all quiets down and the keabords come in late in the song. Such a beautiful sound

Rage against the machine- Know your enemy

The ultimate pissed off song, and the main riff of the songs gives the chills. Prob top 5 songs of all time for me.

Generally, songs that give me goosebumps are found on concept albums; its the mixture of the concept and the music that gives me that great feeling. The ones that never fail to do so are Queensryche's Eyes of a Stranger (right at the end, when it gets more and more chaotic (REVOLUTION!) and then that creepy note from the beginning of the album plays... "I remember now."). Another one is Manticora's Cantos, at the part where the bridge ends, the guitars cut out and we have "On the verge of suicide, the butchery began." Those are the only two I can think of at the moment, but there are more.

Aenema by Tool is the most spinetingling song I've ever heard. Especially the "Fuck L. Ron Hubbard and fuck all his clones..." part

I've heard a beautiful piece of music yesterday and I wanted to share. This is frm the latest Belenos album, Chants de Battalie, song Galv ar Brezel. Just 1 minutes, sot of an intro, no guitars or anything.

Just hear it, its amazing: http://www.sendspace.com/file/k54tij

The album has like 7 more amazing 1 minute songs like this. But the black metal songs are completely uninteresting. Brutal black metal, there should be a rule against this.
