You don't know that. The others could be keeping him hostage.

i think the shrieks from Varg work better because of how the rest of the music sounds. Cradle of filth has such a more polished production on the instruments. With a glossy productions having vocals like that becomes much more difficult to achieve it well.

The lo-fi style of burzum makes the vocal style work well. imo

And guys, seriously, Dani might be a fag and he may sing like a fucking cat getting ass-raped, but he was really amazing in their first 2 albums. His voice was unique, and I remember worshipping him like 7 years ago. It didn't matter back then cos they weren't so popular and he was really something special. Now, he sucks, no doubt about it.

Agreed. Screams + good production = ear hurt.

As for wasted talents,

vocally, Sharon del Adel, as Radagast has mentioned.

Hellhammer = Incredibly good drummer wasting time in silly bands.
