Fuckety-fuck-fuck, Neverbastardmore have decided to perform their European festival dates as a four piece. Chris Broderick is playing all the regular tour dates before and after the festivals, but they'll be doing with one guitar for the one-off nights. Just pay for his plane tickets you cheap bastards!

Totally agree about Kiske and Sharon Del Adel.

Vortex and Galder shouòd really leave the sinking ship that is post-SBD Dimmu Borgir. Vortex has more than enough talent to front a band of his own and Galder should stick to Old Man's Child.

Ahem... Dissection? And what about the At The Gates-The Haunted connection?

Former Sabbath vocalist Tony Martin immediately comes to mind. Would love to have seen him either continue with Sabbath or maybe just make it big( in the metal community) . Awesome vocalist !

He's not really a wasted talent, just under-appreciated. His solo album from last year was pretty good.

He never releases his solo albums in North America. Bastard.

I know Vortex is fronting Arcturus these days, but he's still wasting time in Dimmu. Besides, the latest Arcturus album was really good, but not exactly up to par with their former glories (not that I'm blaming it all on Vortex).

Whaaaaaaaat?! Their stuff is brilliant!

I somewhat agree but still none of them is Bergtatt. Much like the Emperor guys. Zyklon rules but... You know.

And that's news to me about Varg. :(

It's not 100% but he was like he's gonna do a Burzum for sure, now he's saying "perhaps"... Fucker.

I would listen to Burzum if it weren't for Varg's hilarious excuse for vocals. Makes Dani Filth sound like friggin Pavarotti.

I dunno, I love his vocals. I think he's unique, and has a certain feeling of despair in his voice that people have tried to copy but failed. You should check it out if he ever releases something after he's out of prison, he's unlikely to be able to do those shrieks any more.

I don't see the problem with the vocals on Filosofem (Burzum's best album). I can see why people don't like the other albums because of the vocals though.

Arthur from Denver.

He wastes his talents everyday on the internet.

What an asshole.

Well, Filosofem is him just basically not even screaming right? I always thought he just used a fucked up microphone. (He said on his site it was a headset like secretarys and whatnot use.)

But his shrieks, can't you feel the sadness in them? Seriously, to me he has a sense of desperation in his voice, like he feels trapped. The emotion coming out of his voice gives me goosebumps sometimes.

But now that he's old, like Kathy said he probably wont be able to do the shrieks. I would expect some Filosofem-esque vocals.

The music I find really good, and the shrieks do have an awesome power to them. But they would be far more effective in accentuating parts of a song rather than simply being the entire vocal technique. Like going into an awesome kick arse instrumental for example. Just screeching over and over ruins the Burzum potential for me, which is a shame because as I said I quite like the simplicity of the music. Not that I'm defending Dani Filth, but I find it very ironic that most of the people who criticise his vocals are Burzum fans.

I've had this very same thought for quite a long time.

Ehh... I see what you're saying but I disagree. Yeah, they're both really really high-pitched, but they're still very different. Varg (and Darren Travis from Sadus, for that matter) has a much more natural and emotional shriek than Dani's overproduced squeaking.

how about Michael Schenker ? it seems he could have been much more if it wasn't for his problem with alcohol.
