Wtf is that? Never even heard of it!

Lengendary TXDM from the US. 98 release, epic slow gutteral brutality of the highest value. In the brutal death scene, I regard it very highly.

:D

No one mentioned Vomitory so far.
They won't win any award for originality or innovation but they simply slay. I must have heard Blood Rapture a 100 times and still haven't enough.
As for the Classics I vote Cause of Death and Human.

For me, bar none is Tales from the Thousand Lakes - Amorphis. I don't like US Death Metal outside of Obituarary and early Death so the Euro shit will always win with me.

Autopsy is great, they somewhat continue the sound where Scream Bloody Gore left off.... fans of Mantas/early Death would dig em.

zzzzzzz USA has great death metal bands like Sadistic Intent, Nunslaughter, Order From Chaos, recently Ares Kingdom to name just a few.....

+1 on these.

I think Possessed would be right up Leee's alley too.

yup, though everyone should know them.. right ?!?!? Another great USDM band would be NUCLEAR DEATH! Sickening, morbid, oppressive atmosphere, everything that death metal should be.

USA is a strong death metal country... and so as every where else. So long as one digs and listens to death metal and not 'slam' goregrind. hehe

Do check them out. More atmospheric (not in a faggothic way, just very morbid and sick) and brutal (not in a goregrindy way) than 99% of the DM out there.
