Love it or hate it? Listening to some Skatalites right this second. Anyone who knows more about it than I do (Marley, Black Uhuru and this, which I have just discovered), please recommend more...

Not Reggae, Zad. The clues in the band name

But yes, I have time for both Reggae and Ska. Definitely ska more than Reggae, but I'm not really well versed in either.

Don't worry it's an easy mistake to make :P

Anyway, you could maybe see if you could find some Jazz Jamaica. They're quite a cool British/Jamaican ska band that have been around a long time with many different lineups. They expanded their lineup to about 30(!) to do an album called Massive, which I megauploaded for Stefan and is supoib. Their stuff may be hard to find though.

Of course, bands like the Specials are teh pwn if you want an Anglicized version of that kind of sound. Some of their songs are great.

Well, that's my knowledge of the subject exhausted.

Never got into Reggae, though I am definately a 3rd-Wave Ska/Ska Punk fan. New Jersey's got an awesome local ska scene. My best friend's ska band has played with Catch 22, Big D & the Kids Table, and has a spot on a fest this summer along with Reel Big Fish, MxPx, Streetlight Manifesto, and a bunch of others. It's the day after Sounds of the Underground (GWAR!) so that's gonna be an awesome weekend.

I don't mind it, but my g/f (I mean fiancé) loves it. So for the poll I put not interested.
