Disliking Ozzy

Ozzy is the most overrated of them all in the methul zone. None of his albums with Black Sabbath, with the exception of Sabotage. were beyond good, partially due to his crappy voice. His solo career has some great songs here and there, but he's never put out an album that has consistently stayed above average (and lately, he can't even pull off that). Down with Ozzy!

I always thought Ozzy's singing voice sounded like a typical classic rock vocalist's voice. Not good, not bad, but distinguishable enough so that you knew it was him. He actually sounds like a more woozy Roger Taylor if you really think about it.

For that matter, you could say Andi Deris sounds like a less drugged out Ozzy.

Andi Deris pwns the shit out of Ozzy.

i dont really like ozzys voice but on the other hand, nobody else can emulate his voice. i mean, i prefer black sabbath without ozzy but none can deny that classics like 'Paranoid' and 'Iron Man' belongs to ozzy. no one else can sing it like he did. as for his solo career, i like his songs cos, once again, no one can sing like him. take a look at mr crowley, shot in the dark, bark at the moon. although his got an annoying voice, but it defined the classics.

but to fulfill the requirement of this discussion, sabbath's better witout him.

Listen to the band Hellfueled, I think the singer here does a pretty damn good job of emulating ozzy's voice.. or is it just me?
