I saw Napalm Death live, but I was really ill at the time and had to fend off violent Hungarians... That made the whole experience much more stressful than I would have liked.

Sounds more like you were on acid. Violent Hungarians, eh?

I was in Hungary, at the Sziget festival in Budapest. 35 degree heat, camping and without adequate washing facilities in a festival environment for over a week... Maybe the worst time I've ever picked to become properly ill. It happened on the first day, and I went the whole time without seeing a doctor or seeking medical attention. I just complained a lot to my travelling companions. That's the British way. Happy days 8)

And they say Brits on holiday don't behave themselves! I tip my flat cap at you, Sir.

I went back last year. But this time I wangled some nights in the Hilton Budapest, and also met a delightful European lady... So instead of sickness and misery there was all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets and nice company 8)

Anyway, to get back on topic, I was listening to Horna's Envaatngaswhatthefuck and Taake's Doedskvad on the way into work yesterday in a terrible blizzard. As grim as working in a suburban office gets.

I hope she didn't cost too much? They can be expensive, these delightful European ladies.

Darn, you win. Apologise to your delightful European lady friend for me, and ask if she can recommend a workmate to show me around Brussels.

Where did I ever imply that?! You're seeing shadows in corners, my boy.

And Craig's got the patent on the "pretending to be a dinosaur" thing, so I wouldn't bother if I were you...

Cheer up. Are you still in contact with her? Still got her card? Give her a call, reflect on the good old days, see if she's willing to come over to our green and pleasant land for a visit. Offering to pay for her ticket might work...

Actually it was her I went to Amsterdam with a few months back, but I won't be seeing her again now, for various reasons...
