There's lots of utter shite that gets a good review here.

True, but Damnation And A Day is not part of it.

I'll assume that you mean secretly, and agree.

I wouldn't say it's that much of a secret. Of course in that case if I'm wrong, I'm very wrong... but they're way too over-the-top to possibly take themselves seriously.

I don't think they're terrible once in a while. But they start to suck really quickly. Small doses only. Like a song at a time.

But their Hallowed be thy Name cover kicks ass.

I didn't listen to DAAD because the first single was unspeakably awful and the second gave me a headache.

I actually didn't mind Nymphetamine. Stripped down CoF is better for me.

The music is decent, but it isnt black metal. I dont even know what id call it.

DAAD was ok, and Nymphetamine wasn't bad. They're better in their current form than when they were trying to play crappy BM (sorry, Mish!), I think.

There was a thing in the new Terrorizer about the new album, and I couldn't help but notice how much the guitarist looks like a young John Travolta. Scary.

Edit: As for the Ville thing, I'll wait to hear it before passing judgement, although I hate that Gypsy-looking bastard with all my heart. The song they did with Liv Kristine was ok.

I didn't say it was. Its basically just goth/trad metal with gayboy vocals.

There is no way these guys can even begin to take themselves seriously. Too bad there are people that actually do.

Sorry, but I think that's their worst. Even Nymphetamine was better in my book. A matterof taste, I guess.

Anyway... I love early CoF (Cruelty is their last amazing album IMO, and my favorite of them), but I have the feeling this one will suck. I will enjoy it a bit if they do a Nympetamine part 2, though.

Agreed, Damnation and a Day was awful. It's the only one by them I don't own, it just bored me.

Haha fuck I love this band. I think what I enjoy most is that fact that there really is no band called Cradle of Filth. There is merely the idea of Cradle of Filth. They have changed out so many members to such a rediculous extent, it's like a gothic version of Spinal Tap or something. Plus Dani Filth could out-rap the entire city of Detroit if he wanted to.

Extreme Gothic/Punk Metal.

Cruetly and Midian are decent albums, so is there latest offer.

Pfffft, that's how Nymphetamine was labeled on the review on this site. Obviously incorrect (unless you know a lot of 7 minute punk songs that I'm unaware of).
