I think the entire reason he did that shit was to gain some kind of empty recognition. If he's a musician, then be a musician, not some product of a context that he feels the urge to conform to. To be a BM musician, it does not require you to be theatrical, but to play black metal. Because, ultimately, it isn't "scary" or "sinister", just simply ridiculous and pointless.

Maybe I just look at shit too seriously.

It takes more than one inspection to fully fathom the immeasurable extent of lameness displayed on this picture. The first thing that comes to mind is Lilith's tits which are exceedingly long of their kind. Besides from that, her nipples (if you can call them that) are ten times as grim as her half-assed corpsepaint. Then Mr. Bloodlord makes a worthy attempt of outlaming Lilith by posturing like Hamlet while wearing a bandana. A fucking bandana! The poor guy probably haven't noticed that the only other personals in the music industry that wears bandanas is Etta Cameron (occasionally) and certain members of the rap/hip-hop scene. The two guys in the bottom of the picture are pretty neutral when the overwhelming lameness of the two on the top has already hardened your perception of idiocy; but they are funny nonetheless. The skinny guy with the axe has a silly grin on his face, and if it wasn't for the corpsepaint he would just look like a retard going out to chop some firewood. The other guy just looks like he is stabbing himself in the groin with his longsword. The price for lame BM'er of the decade goes to the guy in the middle. Could he possibly have found a more sorry excuse for a viking helmet. Those plastic helmets are available in every toystore around here for what corresponds to 4 Euro. Often I see children playing with those helmets on. That is NOT grim Mr. Midgård.
