My Dying Bride- The Light at the End of the World

There are hundreds and hundreds, actually, but this is the first that springs to mind.

Oh and seeing as it's World Cup time, I can in all seriousness suggest Three Lions on a Shirt by Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds  8) :? :P :D

Millions of songs do that to me. It's one of my criteria for a song to be really good. I'll just post these three of the top of my head:

Drudkh - Furrows of Gods (from Blood in Our Wells)

So profund and melancholic.

:Of the Wand and the Moon: - VargQld (from :Nighttime Nightrhymes:)

So dark, sorrowful and subtle.

Candlemass - Under the Oak (from Epucis Doomicus Metallicus)

So hauntingly mournful. Especially the passage from "My heart bleeding for my race" to "I cry for the ones I have lost"

Try them out if you haven't heard them. All are high quality stuff. As I wrote a lot of songs gives me goosebumps. I'll post more some other time.

Good band, bro. "Die For Your Government" is such a killer song! Run DMZ covered it live once in Korea and we pissed a LT off so bad that he refused to let us rent the PA from base supply after that, we had to rent from a Korean dude. What a dick!

I'll admit "Die For Your Government" is a good song. I get them mixed up with NOFX, for some reason, who are shit. Anti-F(l)ag are alright.

and can I say DEAD CAN DANCE!!! Everything that they have ever done is simply amazing, all goosebump giving stuff. Saltarello, Cantara, Yulunga.... the list never ends. They were the best.

Lisa Gerrard's work on the Gladiator soundtrack is amazing! Especially when accompanied by the visuals in the movie! DCD's cover of "I Am Stretched On Your Grave" is stunning!

Uhm, yes. Well it is what I call the best song of the disk now, but that has been fluctuating between three or four songs. It's just a VERY good cd. They did more for John Zorn, like his filmworks. Some great stuff on there as well!

I know that but I think that was just for the world tour and they didn't write or release anything and they certainly didn't come over here.

And I can't find anything about them saying they will release something, so it sucks.

Apparently there was supposed to be a new studio album. Lisa has a new studio album coming out soon, though.

You can get it from www.tzadik.com search for masada or something. The album is named Masada String Trio - 50th Birthday Celebration Volume One
If you like this song I'm sure you'll have no problem with the rest of the album either.
