By the way Zad, this thread reminded me that I needed to buy Wall Of Sleep's Slow But Not Dead album. I found it on eBay for $0.10. Just got it in the mail (dude shipped FAST!). You da man!

Yeah, but had you never mentioned The Gates Of Slumber to me I wouldn't be getting verbally molested over at the Hellride forums.

Still, since I mentioned them to you the attitude towards you here seems a lot friendlier. Eyesore who reviews good True Doom = a nice Eyesore!

I'm reviewing an electro-groove alt-rock album this week.

It's actually quite good. It was meant to be a mini-review on the forum, but once I wrote it I had a full review and figured if Misha can post a Fartcore, Spoon-Fusion Jazz review, I can post this one.

You'll find out tomorrow. It features the ex-drummer of SOAD and ex-singer of The Apex Theory, both highly originaly bands, so this follows suit.

Mcht, they were ok. Some nice soloage, but it got a bit tiresome after a while. Conclusive proof that Doom > Stoner? I would have to say: yes!

I'd agree with that conclusion, although frequently I find it hard to tell the difference conclusively. But I do remember Nebula being the clear highlight of Reading 2000. (Or was it 2001, it was all so long ago).

Well ja, there are often bands that seem to dance back and forth over the Doom/Stoner border, but Nebula aren't among them. I get the feeling they would be better when seen at a festival, out in the sunsheeeeeiiiiiiiiine.
