Last Tribe hasn't disbanded yet as far as I know. They are pretty much on hold because Magnus Karlsson is involved in many different projects.
Haven't heard anything about a new album soon.

Blabbermouth isn´t a 100% reliable source of news but, most of the time they´re right.

I don't care if bands have christian members, I do care if a band has a christian message in their music. Its fine if they want to do this, I just wont listen.

There are several christian bands with christian messages in their lyrivs that I listen to but, I never listen to the lyrics. I always listen to the music, performance and the vocal arrangements so, personally I´m not bothered by christian bands. I was just stating an example. No bands (except´Stryper) that sings about christian messages (like Divine fire) has become very famous.

Why? There are a million Christian bands out there that are great! You like Helloween, right?

You are getting me wrong. YES, there are THOÙSANDS of CHRISTIAN bands that I listen to including Helloween but, to take Helloween as an example...Helloween do not sing christan lyrics with christian messages about the mighty lord. The bandmembers might be christians but, they do not include their christian beliefs or messages in their lyrics like Divine Fire, Stryper, Narnia, Petra etc does. Dream Theater is christians but, they do not write lyrics about it. Do you get my point now?;)

Well, I was replying to Holy_Terror, but if you think Helloween don't sing about Christianity and God in their lyrics you're out of your fucking mind! Hehehe. There are religious themes all over Helloween albums!

Agreed. Better Than Raw is an obvious example.

And, they are one of the bigger bands in the genre. So, P-Roggy, music about Christianity has nothing to do with success. Although I do see where you would get that impression.

I'd also like to bring up Theocracy again who is another obvious Christian band. They will be very big, IMO, with their next release and they use obvious Christian lyrics.

Well, Christians support Christian work with the same amount of devotion that blacks support hip-hop. It's not always just about the quality of the product, but what the product is, or represents in the big picture. I can see a less than great Christian band doing very well if they could somehow employ that net over the Christian masses.

And yes, Theocracy will do very well. It's the music that matters most, not what is being said.

I disagree with Helloween having cristian themes all over their albums. Now and again perhaps there is a hint of it but not on every song, far from. What im trying to say is I wouldn't put them anywhere near the cathegory that Theocracy falls in, although the bandmembers might be christian.

No, not every song is blatantly Christian, but the themes are definitely there on every album. It's plain as day.

Alot of bands I've never heard were mentioned... There should be more description of what they sounds like, even if it is simply:

Helloween worship.

Blind Guardian clone.

etc.

What is christian on say, the dark ride? Is salvation nessecarily christian becuase it talks about paradise? I wouldn't say so. I dont think We damn the Night must be interpreted as christian either. There are obvious christian references on few of the songs, thats right as rain.

Right, but your typical metal head wouldn't dig it. That's why I use Helloween and Theocracy as examples. They are/were able to spread there awesomness by way of music, not message. I get what you're saying though.

Right, it all depends on how it's packaged. If Helloween or Theocracy were package and presented in a manner such as DC Talk, Jars Of Clay or Amy Grant then no way would the typical metalhead even take a second glance at it.

I would enjoy writing christian songs! Purifing heathens, killing heritics, slaying evil! The Crusades are the most metal thing since vikings!

I think iv'e done enough research on it. If you know of any obvious reference Id be glad if you would point it out. If you mean Immortal I could understand why, but I don't think it must specifically be about christian belief.
