And Masterplan are not power metal. I wish people would stop labelling them as that.

Then what are they?

Heavy metal/rock.

I heard a song or two from this band called Easy Rider from Spain....thought that was pretty good. Sounded more old school than a lot of the PM bands coming out now. Not sure how old they are though.

Easy Rider have been around since the mid 90's, and have released about 4-5 albums. Their latest "Animal" is easily their best and is worth having a listen to, as it is very good.

I think Black Majesty, from Australia, are on the verge of something spectacular. Once they get more well known world wide, they could have a very productive career.

Another band, who is as young or younger than Twilightning, PERSUADER, are one album away from becoming the next big metal band, ala DragonForce. You guys, watch for this band to take off.

Dionysus hve two albums out and the way they progressed from the first to the second they might just release an unbelievable album soon.

I agree that Hibria will be huge. They really got that something...
Somehow the song "Defying the Rules" reminds me alot of Blind Guardians "Battlefield". Maybe it´s only me...

I agree on that, I love their first two. However, its been real quiet from them and there is no indication of anything going on within Dionysus.

For how quickly they recorded the first two, the third should've been done by now. Plus they said awhile back they were already doing writing for it - I hope they didn't stop!

I liked some of the Dionysus stuff, but it got kind of boring. Olay Hayer, or whatever his name is, sings some cool lines, but for the most part I found it to be pretty bland.

I think Powervice from Holland is going to be huge, they're damn good already and they play a heavy NWOBHM type music thats on the up and up again. Wolf is getting pretty popular too even though I don't find them to be as good as powervice.

Some more bands I really like and can't wait to hear new albums from:

Heavenly
Last Tribe
Mercenary
Fairyland
Dreamtale
Dragonland
Divinefire
Savage Circus

Of these I think Divinefire have the most talent and potential to be big.

I'd actually go with Savage Circus for the simple fact that they're playing to the already established, and very large, Blind Guardian crowd.

That would be the only band off that list I would pick.

I don't even think Fairyland is still together. Dragonland's latest made me want to vomit on myself and Dreamtale can't decide on a frikin singer. Divinfire is good, but sounds the same as a million other bands. Heavenly is good, but again are not good enough, IMO, to bring power metal to a new level. I don;t know the other two bands.

I agree with Savage Circus as they already have an existing fan base. Dragonland and Dreamtale havent really improved enough since album #1 for both bands. Heavenly would be my next choice, followed by Last Tribe. I too think Fairyland is no more

I'd imagine they're in production, since Olaf Hayer was recently unavailble for half the recordings of the newest Luca Turilli album.

You must hear them, they are the best from that list even though Mercenary are in no way power metal.

Last Tribe doesn´t exist no more. Divine Fire is ok but, not more. They are also very much christians so, I don´t think they will become "that" big if you get me right.

Many bands are christians and I see no wrong with that...it´s up to them but, the lyrics of Divine fire is all about Jesus Christ which scares some people away. Helloweens lyrics are not about Jesus Christ. Do you get my point? The guys in Dream Theater is also very much christians but, the don´t sing about it all the time....if anytime.

I read on Blabbermouth about Last tribe about a month ago.
