Controversial Interview With Anthrax's Dan Spitz

I must say this is certainly an enlightening interview. Particularly Spitz's comments about Joey and the way Among The Living was recorded/mixed.

Pffft, a bunch of arseholes on Blabbermouth take everything out of context on the basis of the article's headline and a fairly innocuous interview gets blown out of all proportion.

"You said bad stuff about Darrell! Our Darrell! How dare you? He's dead! You coward! He's the best guitarist in the history of Metal! Fuck you Spitz you...you Christian!"

Oh no, Ian and Benante had a respected guitarist come in to play a bunch of leads and solos that had already been written. Horror of it all.

When they're getting ready to go on stage they call to come in and pray, so this is all weird. My band doesn't even ask a question, and this is okay, it's the way we deal with it. I don't wanna push anything on anyone, people should just know my beliefs and that there are many people in some of the darkest bands you'd ever believe who know what is right, that there is a one true living god and you can speak to him anytime you want. That's basically it. For me because I'm jewish, I had no preconceived notion of what's in the New Testament, we have the Old Testament.

Ummmm, Okay.

Those solos that Dimbag played on Stomp 442 sound like something Dimebag would write, and don't sound like Dan Spitz's style at all. And Paul Crook only played lead on two songs, Charlie and Scott split time on the rest. I smell a very delusional person here.
