Aerosmith-Get a Grip

Not usually something I'd buy, but for £1 it would've been stupid to say no.

The last truly good Aerosmith record, too.

imo that was "Pump"... half the songs on "Get a Grip" are fillers (hullo ! Lenny Kravitz ! )... I think "9 Lives" to be better than Get a Grip" too...

Haven't listened to all of them yet, but so far, the most dissapointing seems Difficult to Cure: very 80s FM sounding, the Beethoven's 9th is really crap( i had better expectations from a man like Blackmore); there are still some enjoyable songs on it, but we are pretty far from the Dio era.
Ratt surprised me in a good way( i had pretty low expectations): the guitars are pretty heavy, the lead guitars are very good...i've expected this to sound like early Bon Jovi but it's heavier, and the guitar solos are much better than...Twisted Sister, for example(should i add Motley Crue? ).

The Whitesnake is very, very good, imo.

That's all i've heard so far.

- 3 Inches of Blood "Advance and Vanquish" (only 4 euros, second hand)
- Deep Purple "Live at the Olympia '96" (official bootleg recorded in Paris, this is a great concert and the double cd was only at 8 euros)
- Rush "Moving Pictures" & "Hold Your Fire" (bothe remastered, both at 6 euros)
- Sum 41 "Chuck" (supersale, only 1,5 euros so it doesn't mind if it's bad)
8)

Killer album, although the vocals can be annoying on occasion. You should look for their first album and their two singles.

Great CD. I swear, this band needs to do a metal album!

I agree, there is something I quite like about this band.. They even did some actual metal songs for their third album "Does This Look Infected?", but they only put them on the DVD that came with the album.

There's too much money in pop punk for them to do a metal album.
