Just curious as to what all of your favorite bands/genres are when you're high. As of late, I've been smoking to Meshuggah and Tool. Awesome shit.

I try not to listen to music when drunk, as I smashed a CD once trying to put it in the player. Watch a lot of films in that state, though. As for weed, I only do it at friends' houses, and none of my friends are metalheads, so I'm stuck with rap. The older variety of which ain't as bad as people say.

I exactly made the same thread about this topic a few months back. But when high, complex bands really sound much clear and understandable. Sigh, Arcturus, Windir, Winds, Emperor, Agalloch, Borknagar, Blut Aus Nord, Mirrorthrone, Drudkh, Hollenthon, Summoning. Please give these bands a listen if you haven't yet listened to them from another state of mind.

When I used to smoke I liked anything progressive. Dream Theater made for a good high, but Devin Townsend was usually my top choice.

One day I had some good hash brownies and listened to Isis's Celestial.

Mindblower, I tell you.

Anything complex, progressive or vaguely doomy:

Jesu, Tool and Katatonia being current favourites

And Kyuss.....always Kyuss.

Oh, and The Doors - The End is a trip when you're completely annihalated.

I usually don't listen to music when I'm stoned, but The Beatles are a good 'un. Burzum is a bad one, I nearly freaked out.

When i am high reggae is the best.
When i am drunk grind/death is the best.
Also Pantera suits well.

Absolutely.

I don't listen to metal when stoned/high, though if I listen to music at all, it is usually Pink Floyd, Doors, Cream, etc.

Mostly when stoned I do not listen to others' music, I expand the experience of my own.
