I'll go with Angels Cry followed by Holy Land then Fireworks. Each album is great, but Angels Cry has that extra something that captures me. There isn’t a bad song to be found. Holy Land, on the other had, has a lot of great songs and a couple of duds, while Fireworks has one to many duds (although I have only listened to it a few times).

André Matos made some brilliant music during his time with Angra. He has one of my favorite voices in the genre. Angra is up there in my top five favorite metal acts. They have never made a bad album.

Include your favorite post Matos album as well. Mine would have to be Temple of Shadows, which borderlines perfection IMO.

I vote Holy Land... that was easy ! :D

their debut is boring as hell... power/speed metal with no originality whatsoever...
Fireworks is way better than Angels Cry but lacks the brazilian speed vibe there was on Holy Land...

Eels "Blinking Lights And Other Revelations"

It was one of my first power/speed metal albums I ever heard. Although, I have heard many other power/speed metal albums since and have to disagree. I still listen to it and hear and feel exactly what I felt and heard back then.

I knew you'd comment on Holy Land (we've had Angra conversations in the past). That album kicks 1,000 different kinds of ass... and that's a lot of ass.

Angels Cry is better than Fireworks, which is a bit of a mess directionwise IMO. It just seems to sprawl all over the place.

I haven't heard Holy Land.

My favourite of the two new albums is Temple of Shadows.

Temple of Shadows and Rebirth > Holy Land > Fireworks and Angels Cry.

I can't decide if ToS or Rebirth is their best. Both of them kick a considerable amount of ass.

Viper is way better than Angra. At least in my opinion. Angra....didnt really rock as hard.
