I'm invited. I'm not telling you what gift I'm bringing, but suffice to say- I hope Mr and Mrs NESS don't already have a Breville Piemaker.

It just so happens I'm a pie maker collector and I'm missing that particular model from my collection.

Yes, you're all invited, but I expect pie makers from all.

How about some non-metal suggetions now. Try and stay away from country, modern rap (rappers from the early 90's are welcome), and almost anything that is on the radio today. (pop radio)

Sonata Arctica -- Last Drop Falls

"NOW THAT I HAVE FOUUUUND THE WHORE IN YOU..."

"WALKING IN THE COOOOOL NIGHT AIR WITHOUT UNDERWEAR!"

:D

Seriously though, uh, how 'bout some Elton John song? I'm sure he's got a song somwhere to fit the occasion. I'm not suggesting you're gay or anything, but... Y'know, it's Elton John.

In this case I'd go to the classics: Beatles, Rollings, Doors, Bob Marley, Genesis, Pink Floyd, that kind of stuff. And some Hard Rock: old Van Halen, old Bryan Adams, old ZZTop...

And well, a personal recomendation (not very original, I think) ... The first song my wife and me danced together in my wedding, eight years ago, her preferred ballad: "Still loving you" (Scorps).

Classic Stones! "Wild Horses", from Sticky Fingers, maybe. A bit of ambient Burzum or early Mortiis as she comes in, maybe? I assume it's in a church...

And seeing as no-one else seems to be saying it, congrats!

Teenage Fanclub make some lovely, warm guitar pop that's probably cool for family gatherings - sort of like a version of Oasis for non-knuckledraggers.

These are all good suggetions. I need to make a list and find some of these tracks. We are planning on a December wedding and we are both wanting it this December.

Yeah, gratulations!!!! If I were to give you a serious suggestion, hire a gypsy folk band, can't go wrong with a good gypsy folk band! They know when to stay in the background and when to play party songs, they are often a great addition to about any party. These bands are usually not too expencive, so instead of a huge pie that is not actually that good, have this and a not so huge pie, says I.

Thanks man. That's a pretty damn good list minus the r&b and rap. I might throw in some Boston and Journey as well. Thanks again.
