Aria, an 80s heavy metal band from Russia, they sound a lot like Iron Maiden so if you like them you should definetly check out this band, but worry not, this is not another Maiden copycat, this band is "THE" Maiden copycat, with great basslines "ala" Harris, dual guitar harmonies, good drums, and a very good vocalist.
So here are a couple of MP3s:

This song is from their 1987 album "Hero Of Asphalt":

Aria - Serving Evil Force

And from their 1989 album "Play With Fire":

I've had both of these for ages, but I was always curious what the titles meant  Needless to say they are both a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!

Great band, I've got all of their albums. Glad people are taking interest in them. :D

You can actually listen to most of their songs (full version previews) here. This site has full album streaming previews for most albums. Just click on "switch to english" at the very top, pick an album, and then click on "preview".

at first I thought the voice was annoying but I got pretty quickly used to it and, well, it's quite good...

what would you say is their best album ?

The two featured here are propably the best, if I had to pick one I'd say "Play with fire" (yay, at last I know the title!!).

Play With Fire would be their best IMO, but Hero Of Asphalt comes very close because of its last track "Ballad about ancient russian warrior" wich totally kicks ass.

Tusks of Black Rocks is my favorite song. I've heard the other albums but this song is still best to me.
