Same goes for you, EMOkid

But actually, I don't care for these bands' ideologies, I just adore their music...

Nicshe loved his sister, we can dislike him for that (I don't, it isn't disgusting or abominable for me), but his work is pure masterpiece...Maybe not the best example, but I hope you get the idea..

I knew you didn't care for their ideology... still I can't understand how one like you can make abstraction of the "ideas"... I know I can't....

btw, glad you got the joke ! :D

and Nietzsche wasn't a Nazi but a philosopher wrongly understood by Nazis... same goes with Wagner's music....

I'm not making an abstraction. Those ideas give their music a deep & sincere feeling, most bands lack (remember hate in Varg's vox? You think he could've sang like that without believing in the thing he was standing for?). I don't agree with those ideas and I don't let them to stay in my mind longer than the CD's length.

And you don't care if Freddy Mercury was a g-a-y, so why should you bother if those guys are Nazi?

We can't tell what were that or this man's true beliefs. Only if we can summon him from the grave and ask directly. It's like music: Every single person understands it his own way and has his own images while listening to it.

Wasn't Wagner an anti-Semite?
