Where are the insults? "Fucking" and "fuck" is now an insult? As for the other statement, let me break it down for you:

PEOPLE: A general term in this context, not singling out anyone in particular.

IGNORANT: Definition states that it means "lacking education or knowledge." In this case, knowledge applies. It also describes it as "showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake." Again, in the case knowledge applies.

Now, again, where are the insults? Someone assuming something is bad without hearing it is, by definition, ignorant. That is not an insult in my country, maybe in France it is, but not here. As for the cuss words, when this site goes Christian I'll make sure I use "friggin" and "frickin" and "phooey" as replacements.

To be fair, I have noticed that you often prefer to take every chance to rant about "people" in general, regardless of who you're arguing with. So hypothetically I'd rather you insulted me directly as opposed to saying "people are ignorant fucks" and just having to wonder whether that includes me or not..

I can't win, can I? Are you one of those people that have assumed this band sucks because of two letters, N and U? If so, you are ignorant. Mystery solved.

Yes, nonsense is making lame statements that I was somehow throwing insults around and then turning around and ignoring the response and then making some lame set up question like "are you an only child?" The intent is childish. You're like 40, act it.

And who said I want to be right? I don't need to come into a thread and continue reading ridiculous replies from someone like you, someone who constantly wants to throw a little gas on the fire and then deftly try and point the finger elsewhere. It's tiresome and childish.

Like I said, don't reply if you haven't got anything worthwhile to say. You started all this nonsense—and yes, it is, in fact, nonsense—so quit making snide remarks and then turn around and go "OK, let's leave it at that." If you want discussion, no problem, if you want to argue go elsewhere.

actually, I wanted a discussion on how carefully the term "Nu" had to be used on a metal website such as MR. but you dismissed it so quickly and then refused to go come back to it that you left me with nothing but attempts to understand your strange behaviour...

Halloween "Victims of the Night" (this is just alright... wallpaper metal as I call it.. it flows but nothing really grabs me... I used to really like this band... guess tastes change... :roll: )

I'm one of those people that decided they didn't want to listen to it because of the tag "melodic nu-deathrock". But I don't accept that that makes me ignorant. It means I have more music on my hard drive than I have time to listen to, and so don't want to pick up more stuff from a genre that I have no interest in.

Of course, that means this thread and I can co-exist peacefully. The reason I entered it was not to slander Motherstone, who I'm sure are good at what they do, but just to express that there is no call for the whole "people are ignorant fucks" rhetoric. I think you should give people here enough credit to decide for themselves what genres they want to sample, and not imply that ignorance is their reason for choosing not to.

Hey, I'm not against people deciding not to listen to something at all. What I'm against is someone saying something sucks without hearing it first, that is where the ignorance comes in. You'll notice my question to you was whether or not you were a person that assumes it sucks without listening, not a person that just chooses not to listen. There is a big difference there.

And for the record, I never called anyone an "ignorant fuck."

Still, you'll notice there are no insults from me. You'll also notice that I explained why I used the term "nu" multiple times. Why did you not acknowledge that, hmmm? No, no...it couldn't possibly be that you were trying to "engage in childish games", huh?

Again, the "nu" reference is accurate. If you choose to not listen, whatever, if you choose to not listen because you assume it sucks based on "nu," then that's stupid.

This isn't a debate. You accused me of insulting people, implied I was being rude and arrogant when I simply stated it's ignorant to assume a band sucks based on their genre. I can be wrong and I often am, I'll admit so when I am wrong, too! But am I wrong for accurately reviewing a band? NO! Am I wrong for saying that someone saying a band sucks without actually listening to the music is ignorant? NO! That IS ignorant. Did I insult anyone in this thread? NO!

If this thread tires you now maybe you shouldn't have written all the bullshit that you wrote? Make sense, right? If I am wrong, as you suggest, please, I beg of you, point out where I am wrong in this thread. It shouldn't be hard.
