Yeah, basically this album gets better with each listen. "Solitude" just seems subpar, but the rest of the album is up to Drudkh's standard.

Just ordered it today, "The Swan Road" was one word: Astonishing!

I've been listening to the band a lot recently and I think that both Autumn Aurora and this new one are a step ahead of The Swan Road. AA because the overall sound is so much richer and more individual, and BioWs because they seem to have put a lot more heart and energy into it.

I concur. In my opinion The Swan Road is their lowest point. It is still pure phucking awesomeness though... Get Forgotten Legends as well rio. If you like the other albums you'll probably like that one as well. The production is more muddy, but it is still a masterpiece of atmosphere and emotion.

I've had Forgotten Legends for a little while just in mp3 form, but for some reason haven't given it the same attention as the other three. But you're right, I probably should- In fact I shall listen to it on my way back from work tonight.

For some time I didn't give it the attention it deserved either. I think it is because the other albums are more instantly gratifying due to the production. But beneath the slightly more obscure production lies a great album.

Talking about the lowest point of a band like Drudkh is like talking about the lowest part of a cloud. It's still all way up there.

I haven't been able to grab this yet, but I will soon.

Yeah, do, I got it in the mail about a week ago, and I've listened to it quite a bit since. I really like it. I knew new Drudkh would kick ass, but I didn't expect it to sound like this. Or to be THIS good. :D

Uurgh... the LP version should be out sometime this month. I could get the CD version, but I allready have all my other Drudkh records on vinyl, so I dont want to..er... break the line. But if I'm to believe your postes, it will be worth the wait. Right?

Great album. So far it challenges Sodom and Katatonia for best albums of 2006, as far as I'm concerned. The level of energy in some songs reminds me of Hate Forest. It has definitely become my second favourite Drudkh album, behind Autumn Aurora.

Agreed. I'm a fan of older Katatonia but come on, Drudkh and Katatonia don't even play remotely similar styles of music. It's amazing that so many people could like both.

Not remotelly simmilar... It's troo that Drudkh is BM but hell not many Bm bands make so much emotional impact on me as they do. And when talking about emotions that's what Katatonia is about... so they have something simmilar. At least the feeling that manifests in me is simmilar...

Man, I'm starting to really love this album. I'm just finishing a review of it at the moment, and I'm having to reread it again and again just to make sure it isn't too "OMFG ITS TEH AWESOMENEZ!!!!!""!!!1!!!1!1123.142!!".

Now I'm definitely convinced it's their best work. It takes a step forward, and branches out a little bit, without losing what made it good in the first place, which is exactly what I like to hear.

I know exactly what you mean. I growing increasingly fond of this one as well (and at the same time I loved it from the first listen). If I had to write something about this, it would turn into pure fanboyism.

When will you post your review?
