Promised Land is a horrible album but I know lots of people like it that discovered Queensryche late or past their prime or were into Grunge and shit.

Dude, "Queen Of The Reich" is a power metal song, that's the only one from that album that is. "Blinded" and "Nightrider" have slight elements of power metal, but are essentially just metal songs, even a bit thrashy in spots.
The Warning has only one songs that I'd say was power metal, "Before The Storm." The rest, again, have just elements, like the end of "Road To Madness." Some songs like "NM156" and "The Warning" are not power metal at all.
I won't argue that this band had power metal and prog elements in their music, but I hear way more traditional metal and rock.
