Has there been ANY Iced Earth news in the last 6 months?

Last I heard Schaffer was writing an album based off of the Something Wicked Trilogy, but the website hasn't been updated for damn near a year. I love these guys, and also liked Owens work on the Glorious Burden. Anyone know anything?

Umm, wasn't the latest that a new album's coming later this year...?

Yeah, there hasn't been any official news, but Owens mentioned something about it on his board...

I think they're falling behind schedule because of Schaffers back problem.

There's been no news because Schaffer fired the entire band. Then re-hired them, and then proceeded to fire them again. He hired a second line-up, complete with Greeley back on vocals. Grreeley wore a shirt with a swastika on it to rehearsals, to which Schaffer replied "We kicked Germany's asses in WW2. Don't you know your American History? Haven't you been to my store? RAAAARRRGHHH!" He told Owens to purchase half of the Spirit of 76 Store if he wanted to remain in the band. He admonished Richard Christie for taking an awesome gig on the Howard Stern show. Finally, Schaffer realised that he too, wasn't patriotic enough, and fired himself.
