Nothing too serious. I was just trying to bust your balls a bit, i'm bored at school. :)

If I'd actually owned the album I'd have bitten.

Ditto that.

I actually respect what they did with that album. I don't own it, but I've heard songs. They could have easily just recorded note for note acoustic versions, but they essentially went in and rewrote those songs. That's cool if you ask me, quality aside.

Somehow i agree that's cool, but somehow they managed to ruin great songs from their back catalogue, by giving them a modern treatment....some of them even sound a bit RnB!

Pfffft. Only chicks and fags listen to Bon Jovi. In the 80's the easiest way to get your ass kicked was admitting that you liked Bon Jovi.

That being said, post-Pyromania Leppard is also chick music.

Yeah, but I was a chick until 1991, so that makes it ok. :P

So until 1991 you were Radagas-Tina.

You don't have to tell me. I saw them on the Adrenalize tour, and he did a 15 minute drum solo, on a standard kit, and rocked the house.

Doesn't mean you can't find humour in it though.

Of course, for years I've called them Def Leftarm. Haha. And their my favorite group. I say he's the best simply because 20 years later he's still the only one-armed drummer out there, as far we know. If it were easy there would be more. And yes, he does play a standard kit now specially made with pedals. People like to say it's electronics, but that's wrong. It was that at first because there was no drum kit for a dude with one arm. He was never amazing like Gene Hoglan, but I rank him above all others.

The only Bon Jovi CD I have is Crossroads and I bought that waaaayyyy back in grade 5. Runaway is my favorite song of theirs.

Yeah it's chick rock, but it serves a good purpose for us sex-starved guys. If your with a girl and you need some romancing music, but hate all the pop RNB shit like most of us do, then you may be willing to compensate with her by listening to something with a rock edge, and I say Bon Jovi works.

I remember one time I was at this party and met this guy who was a huge Bon Jovi fan. We talked about music for a bit and I told him that I was into metal and everything, and we seemed to get along. Everyone went out to this bar and naturally started ordering some drinks. Now I'm a beer guy, but I decided to order a screwdriver, not to get drunk, but just to get myself going (they taste good dammit). Anyways, as soon as I took a drink the guy I met at the party said to me, " That's a chick drink, try something that will put some hair on your chest, pussy". I then replied quite calmly, "that's a funny comment from someone who says Bon Jovi is there favorite band you panty wearing fag".

This guy was a LOT bigger then me, and he turned around and took a swing at my head screaming, "Nobody says that about Bon Jovi!" (crazy fanboy). As soon as he took a swing, I ducked and punched him in the stomach. I didn't get a really good shot, but it was enough for him to shake his hand at me telling me it's over. Of course, the bouncers threw us both out, so him and I were on the street. I thought it was over, but he took a swing at my head AGAIN. And just like before (it was like instant replay) I ducked and punched him in the stomach. This time I landed a much better shot and he was in a lot of pain..haha. It was just so funny how he tried the same exact move on me and got the exact same result...haha. crazy Bon Jovi fanboys

Def Leppard > Bonjovi mainly because of the party vibe and the harmonies.

I do like both these bands. Bon Jovi has a handful of good/great songs (Runaway is also my favourite, 2nd is Livin' On A Prayer), but Def Leppard takes my vote here.

Many many kick ass songs which i still play from time to time. I only liked Bon Jovi's 80's material and havent had any interest in his music since the early 90's

Plus DL gets an extra point for the one-handed drummer. Come on, thats impressive for him to have played like that for so long...yeah he has a special drum kit to help his disability, but i'm still impressed.

One thing they do have in common is that the chicks dig it, and they both have songs, when played in the background, does help you get laid

Yeah, but Rick's drum kit doesn't really help him, not like some say when they claim it's an electronic kit. It's just pedals laid out, he still uses his feet for all that his left arm once did.

No doubt. He's the best drummer in the world in my books.

he's, no doubt about it, the best single-armed drummer... the best drummer in the world ? you can be amazed by his performance (it is amazing) but that will never make him the best drummer in the world (should it be by yours or anybody else's books) !

Best drummer by default, not by skill. The dude has one arm.
