Whose your guys favorite clean vocalist?
This is something that probably changes once a week for me but right now i'm going to have to go with Tobias Sammet. There are plenty of singers i love though and it is really hard for me to pick just one.

too many (Barlow, Khan, Dio, Johansson, Oliva, Parcharidis, Tarja, Ripper, Adams, DeFeis, Breed, Conklin, Sister Federica, Blad/Gobel, Rytkonen, De La Rocha, Kursch, Allen, Lodmalm, Mustaine, James Keenan, King Diamond, Lemmy, Pepper Keenan, etc.), but Tobias is one of the worst.

Mustaine is uneven--sometimes he sucks, but when he is on top of his game and growls and snarls instead of singing he is amazing.

Tobias Sammet has an annoying happy childish nasal voice.

I hate to mention my own singer but I gotta go with Bobby "Leather Lungs" Lucas. Not only does he have the range to sing almost anything but he has the stamina and ability to be consistent and get things done quickly.

As many of you begin to hear our new CD, RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT, consider this. We were on a pretty tight time schedule. Bobby recorded vocals for 60 minutes of songs (including doubling, etc) in only about 12 hours. And he did like 8 hours straight in one day with only a short break for dinner.

Add to this the other times I've worked with him in recording sessions (for our demos and our cover of QUEEN OF THE REICH, which he nailed PERFECTLY) and I am just in awe of his abilities.

So you see, for range, ability, and consistency I have to nominate Bobby!

one is just impossible so...

old : Ian Gillan, RJ Dio, Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Eric Adams, David Defeis (Virgin Steele), Geoff Tate (edit)

new : Heikki Pöyhiä (Twilightning), Andre Matos (Shaman), Warrel Dane (Nevermore), Daniel Heiman (LH, Crystal Eyes)

I'm sure I forgot many in the "new" area but those are among the best !

I seriously suggest you change the name of that album that one is just brutal.

 Er, never mind, I guess it is too late for that.

As yoiu come to know the band's history you'll see why it was the perfect name for it!

Thanks for the good wish on the CD!

Who would I choose if not doing promo? You see, thats why its nice when I see these kinds of posts. I can make that claim with no reservations. Bobby Lucas is the best. He can sing ANY metal god's vocals on a cover song and do them dead ringer. Plus he has his own style.

Yes, I enjoy others...Halford, Dickinson, Adams, Dio, Tate. But Bobby can sing all of them convincingly.

And listen to SHATTERED MEMORIES from the Exhibition CD when he was in that band also. Such emotion...

Yes, the CD is right now available in France. You need to pound on the idiots at Adipocere for now, at least until a new distro is found, or mailorder direct from Sonic Age or other European site.

Later!

- Alessio Garavello (Power Quest, Arthemis)
- Jioti Parcharidis (Human Fortress)
- Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon, Crystal Eyes)
- Nils Patrik Johansson (Wuthering Heights, Astral Doors)
- Lance King (Pyramaze, BoP, Defyance....)

And a lot of others I can't remember right now. This list may grow tenfold if I have too much free time to "research".

I've checked the Adipocere catalog but couldn't find your cd... do you have a direct link to it ? otherwise, I'll try Sonic Age but it's much easier ordering in France for me...

You'd have to e-mail Adipocere or have your local store call them. But from what others have told me Adipocere only care about death metal so until Sonic Age gets a better distributor either order from them or maybe a German or UK site???

You can order from the UK at www.phydos.com or Germany at this link (which has the 30 second samples of all the 13 songs on the CD)

http://www.musicline.de/de/product/Over ... 5447000049

Please let me know what you do!

I particularly like Winteriscoming and Immortal emokids lists. Combine the two and take the ptramae singer from metal Fury list, but my Fav is Tobias. I have a thing for that Euro accent and miss it when I hear my fellow Americans sing.
