I heard his new single or something last night. It was friggin' awful. Please tell me Ministry were around before he was, just so I can say he ripped Al off...

Ministry > Zombie

And yes, Ministry has been doing stuff since 1981, Zombie started(with WZ) 1985.

White Zombie was pretty good though....

additionally, rockdetector says he didn't start the solo stuff (IE, Rob not White Zombie) until '98.. so every fucker started before him including Rammstein.

he has a collaboration song with KMFDM. It's KMFDM's worst ever song.

Agreed, though KMFDM's earliest stuff is pretty damn retarded. The newer shit is great.

Yeah, they have a similar sound. I don't know for certain if he ripped Al off but it's not too far fetched, no.

Not that Ministry, IMHO has put anything good out recently themselves.

What? I seriously question whether or not you've ever heard the bands you comment on. First, I understand some people not liking "Foxy, Foxy." I was a bit taken aback at first, but it's actually a great tune.

That's not what my comment refers to, though. How in the crap did you hear Al Jourgensen in Rob Zombie? And if you're talking about "Foxy, Foxy" I have to question what Ministry you've heard! The heavy industrial stuff or the pop techno homo stuff? Either way, no era of Ministry or Al Jourgensen sounds like Rob Zombie.

No he doesn't. They remixed a song. Thus, their fault.

Come on, there are similarities. The more industrial stuff, the rythm, pacing, how the music feels...

Chill out man. Al Jourgenson has been on his "Rob Zombie ripped me off!" soapbox ever since Astro-Creep came out. He even accused Rob of stealing his look, of all things. Al's a little full of himself, and fails to realize that the person who brought mainstream attention to Industrial Music was Trent Reznor, not him.

Bless him, he's only recently got off the drugs, so can't really blame him.

Dude, come where I live. Gruff looking guys in Cowboy hats and shades are a dime a dozen. I don't think Al created Cowboy Hats or sunglasses.

But cowboy hats + shades on top of head + dreads + long coats + funny beard? He created that combination. Or did Skinny Puppy? But they weren't around before Ministry, were they?

Well, no offense to Al, but Rob had the look long before Al did. All still looked like he belonged in Duran Duran when Rob looked like a poor version of what he looks like now—which he was. And musically they're never been similar.

I own the CDs because I'm a completist, but seriously...Jourgensen is talking out of his ass if he insist that Rob Zombie copied him.

Rob Zombie in 1985 (top left):

Rob Zombie in 1987 (same look):

In 1985 Al Jourgensen looked like this:

Zombie shits all over Ministry and their one great album.
