Testament are coming to Corroios (south of the Tagus river, lisbon is north) on march 11th, and i haven't been to a metal show in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages.

thing is i'm not a big Testy fan, i mean their fast songs kick ass, but i'm not that much of a fan, other than that. think it's worth going anyway? and is it the "reunion" lineup doing this tour as well?

oh and then there's this, in April:
Image

only ones i've heard are Impaled and Simbiose (quite nice, both of them), but i've also heard great things about ENT, Vile, Deeds of Flesh and Monstrosity. think it's worth the trip up north?

(it's like 200km away i think...)

If you don't see it, I'm going to fly down to Portugal and kill you.

Extreme Noise Terror's last album, Being and Nothing, is one of the greatest death/grind records ever.

You can't miss Testament! Monstrosity are death metal legends from Florida, they also did a cool cover of Angel of Death you should check out.

Testament play faster songs live?

as for the festival it would be quite nice, but it involves a 3-day trip up north and i have classes to attend.

Just came back from Exodus/......................... The Haunted

Great performance from Exodus, although they mainly played material from their latest album, but its still intense as fuck ! The old stuff they played were Bonded by Blood, Another Lesson In Violence, Fabulous Disaster and fucken Piranha as the encore.

The Haunted was boring as i expected, though they played Raining Blood with Paul Bostaph as the final song of the show, which ruled.

Saw Overkill last week with Prong and Magus Beast (Dirt Church also played but I missed them). Magus Beast were great, Prong sucked, but because I don't like their music at all, and of course Overkill fucking killed. They played Deny the Cross, Elimination, Fuck You, Rotten to the Core, Old School, among others. Rediculously awesome show. Spent quite a bit of time in the pit (which is unusual for me), a little crowdsurfing too.

Yeah, I've seen that happen, it certainly gave a few people headaches.
(on T.V, I wasn't there.)

Worst headache I got was from a cockfag crowdsurfing and hitting me square in the face with a combat boot. I kept on attending to the concert (It was Vader, I believe, at x-mass fest 2004), but when I got into the bed of my best friend (she lives in a small house not far from the concert hall, so only one big bed) she said "don't bleed on my sheets". Kinda funny coming from a woman :D

Metal On Metal - The Celebration @ Vuoritalo.

A real heavy fucking metal party with Jumalation, Malicious Death, Solitaire and Heathen Hoof + a bunch of diehard metal maniacs.

Killer gig.
No more gigs at VT. :(

I saw BOOOOLT THROOOOOOWEEEEEEERRRRR! last night. Really enjoyable, even if they were only on for like an hour all in.

On a plus point, it was in a wee shitty venue, but the security guys were taking no shit at all - anyone who even attempted to crowd surf was unceremoniously yanked out of the air and dragged kicking and screaming out of the gig. :D

Mentioning things like that near me isn't reccomended when I didn't get to see the gig. I'm watching you right now with a copy of War Master in one hand, and a club covered in nails in the other. Get ready.
