I was lucky enough to find this rare cd few months ago back in Malaysia.

Exorcist is a kick ass old school cult black/speed (black fucking metal) band that only released one album, Nightmare Theatre. They are actually Virgin Steele (Noble Savage lineup) in disguise, wanting to play some Venom black metal. Little was known about them initially, as they used pseudonyms and there's only a blurred picture of the band. Anyway here are a few of my fav songs from the album.

Great stuff! However very hard to find. Very strange to hear DeFeis screaming in a Black Metal way! :lol:

BTW. Check Original Sin. 4 girls playing similar stuff to Exorcist. The same label, DeFeis composed half of the album. Does it tell you anything? Conjuration Of The Watcher? :wink:

yeah DeFeis rules, the entire album screams metal.

I heard of Original Sin, but havent listened to their music yet. Probably stumble upon their mp3s soon.

You're lucky to find that CD, Otakon... :D Was it an orginal issue, or the 500 copy re-issue split with Piledriver?

Its an original reissue, not the one with Piledriver.

Yeah great album, Black Mass is a fucking killer song, funny how the song Burnt Offerings later became fire of ecstasy on the Virgin Steele - House of Atreus album.

As far as I know there was NO official rerelease of Exorcist. There are two bootleg version. The first one is the split with Piledriver, the second one is Exorcist alone. But they are both illegal :roll:

Really ? hmm didnt look like a bootleg to me.... if it is it's a very well done bootleg hah.

I left the cd inlays back in Malaysia, otherwise i could've checked who issued it.

Cobra Rec. / Skull and Crossbones - 1985 / 1999

I'm happy that it's fine made because I hope I'm gonna win the auction 8)

I'm bidding it at Polish version of Ebay - Allegro. The price now is 81 PLN which is something like 26$...So it's not kinda cheap stuff at all :?

I hope the guy's gonna give up, and the price won't rise :?

And yes - that's deffinitely a bootleg. Exorcist was released only on LP by Cobra Records. Here you have compared prices:

The stuff is extremely rare and expensive :? There's no official, legal reissue. One bootleg is the split with Piledriver. The second one is Exorcist alone.
