Post subject: Blind Guardian - Long Tall Sally??
PostPosted: Thu Mar 09, 2006 11:16 pm
I was just listening to Follow The Blind and I was looking through the booklet and noticed this:

Rolfl Kohler backing vocals and lead vocals on "Long Tall Sally"

What the hell is this? That's no song on this CD! Anyone know?

On my cd it comes as the second part of a Barbara Ann/Long Tall Sally medley, and yes, Rolf Köhler is creited as the lead vocalist on that one (Kalle Trapp doing vocals on Barbara Ann instead). It's track 10 on my cd, what's so weird with your copy?

My copy has the full song. And its quite funny. Their version of Barbra Ann is pretty funny too. And Mr. Sandman now that I think of it. It starts off pretty normal, but then goes pretty crazy, in a metal way. I like the latter best.

OK, that's what it is. I never made it past the Barbara Ann part because it's so ridiculously gay.

My copy of FtB ends with Barbara Ann\Long Tall Sally... but on the inlay of the cassete it only says Barbara Ann. and I bought this in '92 .so I think Eyesore may be right (although the song is there, it's not listed on the cover). Mr Sandman is a cover from 1996 from the Forgotten Tales album (singles/covers/remakes).

Yeah, it's definitely not listed as "Barbara Ann/Long Tall Sally." I have the Korean version on Seoul Records, so I'm glad it's not listed because it would have been "Rong Tarr Sarry."

You should see this picture I have of a sign on a pharmacy window in Korea, we called it "The Bloody Monkey Butt" because it shows a cartoon monkey bent over, looking over his shoulder and spreading its asscheeks, and a little drop of blood is dripping from its butthole! Hahaha. All the writing is in Korean. It makes NO SENSE! Haha.

But that's how it is over there, nothing makes sense. Lusty is a clothing store for babies, as is Baby Hunt. Milky Boy is a clothing store for males. Cowboys is a bar that plays metal music. Valentine's Orange is a pizza joint! Hahaha. The list is endless, it's comedy walking around that place.
