My CDs arrived earlier this morning. (except the Helloween, which should be here by Monday)

Cannibal Corpse-Live Cannibalism is fvcking awesome, except the intro to Stripped Raped and Strangled is out of time, hehe-and George seems to be inable to introduce a song without growling.

Emperor-Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk I only listened to the intro so far, but it's great-although the trumpets are rather gaaaay.

Ulver-Nattens Madrigal is what I'm listening to now, and so far it's great, I'm sure it'll grow on me over time-I'm gonna like this one for a while to come. Whoever complains about the production...Bullshit! It just sounds like any other underground black metal I've listened to!

I'm happy right now.

The Trumpets are Gay? on Anthems? Blasphemy  !

And about Nattens Madrigal, that album has been recorded on a 4-track and in a forest.

And isn't blasphemy what a good percentage of black metal is founded on?

Yes, I know-although the forest bit is just a strong rumour.

The point of intros is that they introduce you to the album. Play it all the way through, in one sitting, and it'll knock your head off.

I have done ow, and it's very good. But I can't give a real opinion for a good few listens yet.

Of course, it is layers upon layers of BM chaotic beauty.
