Anvil-Hard&Heavy
-Metal on Metal
Exciter-Heavy Metal Maniac
-Violence&Force
Voivod-War&Pain

I haven't heard the others (they're essential, i know) but the Voïvod album is brilliant.

I'd reccomend the Exciter and Anvil over the Voivod. You should also check out Razor.

Get Exciter and Voivod, a friend of mine recommended me an 80s Canadian band called Kraken, but i cant find anything by them, has anyone heard them?.

Well, of these three, i'll go first for voivod and then... another voivod album, Killing technology, Dimension Hatross, or Rrrroooooaaaarrrrr.
Exciter and Anvil are great bands, but not essential in a discography. There's more interesting stuff in the american thread, and british 80's metal (Raven, Diamond Head, Satan, Witchfinder General...) than in this list.

Dimension Hatross is a terrific album. get it ! :)

Definitely Exciter with their "Violence And Force" album. Check also Canadian Penetrator, Witchkiller and of course the beautiful Lee Aaron with her "Metal Queen" :)

makes you think of a female ManOwaR ? well, it's not... more like classic 80's american heavy rock... nothing to write home about actually... :roll:

I already have Killing Technology;i also have Diamond Head's Lightning to the Nations,and Satan's Suspended Sentence.
I'm gonna start a thread about British metal.

I take it you have that album "Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By" with Monsieur Patton? Is it worth getting?
