Thrash is dead only to MTV fans.
Italy's Vexed, Aussie's Gospel Of The Horns would have my votes. Sauron's probably the best though haa.....
Good thrash bands... they'll be remembered for preserving the scene, if you ask me. Do you think I was foolish to include Biomechanical on this list? They really don't represent the 80's wave, but maybe the rebirth of thrash as a foremost genre in metal?
I've heard abit of Biomechanical.... i wouldnt call them thrash.
Over the past few years we saw alot of old thrash bands reuniting, although 90% of them released mediocre material haha. The best stuff are released by new thrash bands. Sure they are all underground bands and they'll never go up to the status of the classic bands. It's still a good thing, it keeps the poseurs out. I dont think thrash needs to be big again, trendies will only kill the scene in time haha. The underground storms eternally !

There is this band called Frightmare that got a perfect score in
www.metalreview.comAny1 listened to it?
http://www.metalreview.com/ViewReview.aspx?ID=2416Btw i have listened to 1 song by Sauron and found them pretty good.
But i prefer Aura Noir for that style.
IMO Aura Noir is decent, but heavily overrated. Sauron kills Aura Noir anyday, listen to more than just a song

.
Calling metalcore as new thrash ? Probably that's how forest metal got bunched up with black metal

. Hardcore in thrash metal already existed 20 years ago anyway.
