Hmm.. I really cannot judge the upcoming release by three crappy sounding short mp3s

A few years ago I thought I could judge "A Night at the Opera" after having bought the "An Then There Was Silence" single (which really kicked ass), but except for punishment divine I think the rest of the material was just very boring

Oh well, we'll see.

I agree with Holy Terror for the time being. I really would rather see Blind Guardian release something akin to Follow the Blind, Tales of the Twilight World, or Batallions of Fear, instead. In my opinion, those early albums are when Blind Guardian were at their peak.

Do I need to? My statement is a general statement! Just because I quoted someone doesn't mean anything. The album could be great, the album could suck. 30 seconds isn't enough to make any concrete judgement! Happy?

Oh god, this isn't what I was hoping for. The song starts out so strong, but turns into mush. About two minutes into the song its as strong as the beginning, but then turns back to crap.

So what don't you like? The chick-like symphonic part? Sounds like Therion to me! :shock: I really like this, dude. It's not as theatrical as their latest stuff, has more of a rock groove and a great chorus. A+ for me! =)

The slow parts and the chick. They both bring the song down. But it does have good parts, so that gives me hope for the album. C+ for me.

I liked the way Skalds And Shadows sounds. All their "campfire songs" are among my favorites, it's the acoustic guitar and Hansis voice that do the trick.

Hmm... That's definitely not what I expected at all. I've only listened to Fly, and I guess I would give it a B-. Very strange, indeed, and will take some time getting used to. The Therion comparison is spot on at times.
