Picked up 3 cds by them. Train Of Thought, Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence and Octavarium. Have listened to Train Of Thought and Octavarium. Can't pass a judgement on those. Need to give them some more listens. How is Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence when compared to the other two?

Six Degrees is actually my favorite of those listed. The second disc is pure DT joy. The first disc, while it might take some getting used to, is fantastic as well.

Six Degrees is also my favorite out of those, might even be my favorite Theater album. It might be harder to get into as mentioned above however.

I honestly can't find fault with any DT album, if you like one you should dig on them all in varying degrees. I think Train Of Thought is my favorite, or a close second to Images & Words.

I agree with Eyesore, but some short haired prog-rockers might dislike Train of Thought a whole deal.

He says your mum gives head like a hoover, and likes being spanked. He's calling you a whore's boy, because you have shitty taste in music.

That's a rough translation, not sure I can make it much more simple.

c'mon, no ! the seventies gave so much good music that influenced some of the best music made today... this would be totally unfair to mock it... :(

So did the sixties. And the fifties. Not to mention the forties.

 the seventies are my favourite

actually I meant that because the seventies were over, people should stop making vanilla prog and find new ways to innovate..

some do... but neo-prog is a whole different story. those guys are in the business of selling nostalgia, all they do is feed themselves with 70's corpses... necro-prog thus would be a more fitting definition of their music...

ha! necroprog is very clever :D

and I suppose that the seventies will live on for as long as Priest, Crimson and Purple allow :D

Eyesore did say that if you could look over Jamies Labrie's horrible voice and that the members have about as much energy and emotion as robots that you would probably like their albums...

or at least I assumed that was implied
