Is that how it is spelled? Two z's? I doubt they're any good. There is also Wizards (who are pretty good), but I doubt you'll like them. Check out Wizard - Odin.

Finnish Venom-worship. Not really power metal, but not bad at all.

If you want aggressive power metal than modern metal is not the place to look. Aggressive power metal....is old power metal, which is basically just really melodic thrash metal...ala Paradox or Agent Steel. The first Jag Panzer album is also quite heavy.

More gross oversimplification from Holy_Terror, but he raises a decent point about 80s speed/thrash/power metal.

I'd suggest ThunderSteel by Riot (this album is utterly essential in any power metal fan's collection), Fistful of Metal by Anthrax, Walls of Jericho by Helloween. All melodic yet aggressive. Stormwarrior are a modern band that essentially sound like Walls of Jericho Helloween.

Also, I've plugged these before but:

Two free melodic speed/thrash albums.

As a lot of Riot albums. I love Narita, for me it's their best effort, but thundersteel is a great album, as the main part of his records. I reallly like the DiMeo albums, as Nightbreaker, Brethren Of The Long House or Inishmore.

I was reading about Riot and they are said to be traditional metal, along side Judas Priest and others. Do they fall under this category? Because if I am not mistaken ManOwaR makes fun of these guys a lot as being false metal.

They look a bit cock rock, but ThunderSteel is essentially Painkiller three years before the fact.

You should probablly narrow that list down a little. He won't ever find time to check all those out.

From what I've been told, there is a version of Thundersteel floating around with Harry Conklin on vocals. He had a brief stint with Riot and apparently recorded a version of the album. I am in the process of tracking it down, for it may be glorious.
