I was surprised at it being so early at first, but then I put bit of thought into it and realised that it probably won't surface until 2007.

As I've said a million times before, the last album was solid, but since it obviously didn't win them any new fans, I'm hoping the neoclassical solos and keyboards come back, and bring the double bass and high vocals with them.

Me fucking ass son of a bitchin FOUR.

Their S/T album well it sucked sorry to say but it did.It was devoided of any life or energy that previous Strato albums like Infinity and Visions had.It was stale, boring and depressing but I guess that's what TT wanted to make to show everyone how depressed he was.

Cross your fingers and let's get back the REAL Stratovarius.

We all know how you feel about their latest album, NESS. But i thought it was pretty good. Stale- dont think so. It's missing the keyboards and some double bass, but i found that refreshing. I enjoyed that album and never wanted to compare it to Strato, ala, Visions, Destiny, cause that was 8+ years ago. They have changed slightly with every album since Visons, so when i hear a latest album, i dont go into it making comparisons to albums done 10 years ago. I base it on how it sounds right now, that one album only.
Maybe thats why i enjoy it so much. And i still think Maniac Dance is one of their best ever songs...

HAHA!! Are you saying I'm predictable? I hope I'm not starting to sound like Holy Terror. :o Anyway, I understand your reasoning for liking the album, but I don't understand how the album can be liked (You: “That doesn’t make sense NESS” Me: YES it does!!! To me anyway). I just hear a very uninspired album, bad songs, and bad musicianship. On top of that, many of the things I love in music have been taken out, keyboards, double base, high vocals. It all comes down to opinion and taste though.

That's what I hear too.Nothing likeable about this album. It's boring, bland and does not have any magic going for it.

As I stated before it seems like a personal album that Timo Tolkki wrote to show how depressed he is because this is a depressing album to begin with.

This is how I feel and as MetalNess stated it's all about personal opinion.

No, its just that every time Strato is mentioned or at least their latest album, i know what your thoughts are on that album.

You're right, comes down to personal taste. I liked the different sounding Strato on their latest album. I was getting a tad bored with their normal sound after a while. It didnt really sound uninspired to me, but like you both said, its about taste.

It's okay, NESS, I'm with you. Actually, Strato can do an album without as much speed or whatever. It's not the new style of the latest album that sucks for me. To me, it just sounds like bored people were recording it. The same style performed with some energy could make for a decent album. This wasn't it for me.

No. I heard the single once, thought it was OK, but never listened again.
