Downloading some mp3s now

I thought they were pretty boring actually. Downloaded a track and it wasn't much to have.

Naglfar are fucking great. Dark Funeral have some good tracks, but I'm going for Naglfar.

I don't know, but it's what he always says when someone mentions Naglfar, so I just wanted to get in first.

There can't be that bloody many of them, can there?

I think there are two Nagelfar. One Swedish, and one German. Not sure though.

Hmm. Hitting Archives gives only the German one...

Yeah. Found the webpage. I refuse to download mp3s from a band that can't manage to keep thier webpage in an understandable language.

Damnit, you were first Zad! Nagelfar - Hünengrab Im Herbst is what you'll need. That is German in case you did not notice. Great album. After a relisten to Endstille, it indeed fucking sucks! But not as much as Naglfar and Dark Funeral!!!

Downloaded the "Navigator" album by Endstille. Letting it go through now, sounds pretty generic though.

You dislike all Naglfar?

Naglfar = Norsecore, Norsecore = Generic & too fast & emotionless, Generic & too fast & emotionless = Bad.

Wow.

I really wouldn't consider Naglfar to be fast. I can see that equation working out for Dark Funeral, but Naglfar?

Oh well, each to his own.

Personally, I don't think they've done a bad album ever. But then again, I find BM such as Darkthrone to be complete shite, so what do I know? :)

They just never really appealed to me. I saw the ""darkthrone"" show at Wacken(Satyricon + Nocturno Culto), and it was cool I guess. But just not my type.

One of the few harsher black metal acts that I enjoy are DsO and 'Nattens Madrigal' with Ulver.
I'm mainly a deathmetal fiend.
Of course I have to enjoy Obitus as well. :]

Darkthrone is not my stuff either, what you need is this:
Woods Of Ypres - Against The Seasons
Nagelfar - Hünengrab Im Herbst
Forest Of Fog - Nebelhymnen
Ulver - Bergtatt
Taake Nattestid
Mystic Forest - Green Hell
Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss

You will enjoy the shit out of this!! If you like Nattens Madrigal, you'll love all this less raw stuff.

Hehe, I've got 3 of those CDs, :). I'm a HUGE WoY fan, managed to get both 'Against the Seasons' and 'Persuit...'. They get played almost daily.

Naturally, Bergtatt is in my CD collection as well, and, suprise suprise, I own quite a number of Burzum albums. Allthough I find 'Filosofem' to be the best work he did.

I'll attempt to find some Taake to download, people keep mentioning them as being good.

Why do people always mention Hünengrab when it comes to Nagelfar, but don't give a shit about later albums (I don't think it refers to you Misha)? Both of the later opuses are great as well.

And yes, Endstille is boring. But DF are very boring (never was into Naglfar, the ones with the "e" appeal much more to me).

You have to look for Forest of Fog and Mystuic Forest too, for those are amazing as well.
