If they do make a new one, it'll be shite. Unless they can pull out another Among the Living, I don't really care-nice to see Belladona back in the ranks again though.

Well, if they do something the level of Spreading or Persistence, I won't be dissapointed... But really, I don't believe it.

Why would Bellandona be the difference? The songwriters are the same. If anything it'll be just like the Bush-era material, or it's be them trying to recapture that old flavor and they'll fail.

My thoughts exactly.

Even with the grammatical error?

I already posted my thoughts about Belladonna in the Alive 2 thread, so I'll go the summary route and just say
Bush > Belladonna

Agree, and would add:

Armored Saint > Bush fronted Anthrax

Armored Saint as a full time band + Belladonna fronted Anthrax > Bush led Anthrax + part time Armored Saint activity + Belladonna doing nothing.

That pretty much sums it up. :)

Actually, almost all except metallica of the wrongs of the nineties have been righted.

Other examples?

I guess Priest and Maiden are the obvious two.

Cool. I love Belladonna's vox, they're unique and yet work well with the music.

It'd be sweet if he sang on their next album.

Ehh.. I always found his voice to be a little to weak and pretty for that type of music. Neil Turbin still has in my opinion the best suited voice for Anthrax music. Oh man if they made another fistful of metal......I would eat a fistfull of shit. Anyone care to take that bet?

Yeah i agree with h_t the vocals on fistful were probably the best. Although i do not dislike either Belladonna (what a gay surname now that i think of it..) or Bush.

The other day, I read somewhere that Joey Vera and John Bush are planning a new AS album as we speak. Damn, I'll have to dig up that link and post it here. I forget where I saw that.

For the record, I always thought Bush sounded a bit like a country singer(!). His voice has that deep, Redneck-ish sound. That's not a complaint, by the way, as I've always liked his vocals.

I have to admit that, despite it being an obvious attempt by Anthrax to avoid 9-5 jobs AND being rather hypocritical of them after Charlie Benante was constantly accusing the US Metal Market of being "disloyal," I would admittedly look forward to another Joey Belladonna album. I can easilly picture something along the lines of Persistence of Time (my favorite Joey-era Anthrax).
