What's with the Star Wars intro? Anyway, can't get a good grasp on the album with these clips. They've definitely gone back to the XIII sound, but the clips make the album sound kind of mellow.

Hmmm...we'll see, I guess. I can't wait regardless!

I've been waiting for the orchestra to return, and it's here. I must say I'm impressed by what I've heard so far even though, as eyesore pointed out, it's pretty difficult to get a good grasp of the songs with these short samples. I prefer the first half of the album, though it may change once I hear the whole tracks.

Leaked and awesome! There 5 instrumentals and 10 regular tracks. It's a great album. Top album of 2006, no doubt. I'm loving it, the samples did it no justice whatsoever!

This is pretty damn good. Its different than the Rage albums I've heard, but good.

It's not much like anything before Lingua Mortis, that stuff is more thrashy. I do find it to be more of a mix of XIII, Unity and Soundchaser. It's really good. The beginning is mellower with the instrumentals, but after that it's pretty heavy. I love this band.

I own Soundchaser, and I've only heard bits and pieces from other Rage albums. So, I wouldn't really know what to compare this to. But it is damn good (which is surprising b/c I normally detest vocals like this).

He's gotten a lot better over time, back in the day he was...raw, for lack of a better word. They definitely changed it up on Lingua Mortis, but hit their stride with that change on XIII and it's been great ever since. Their earlier stuff is still excellent, though, but more like what Blind Guardian played early on in their career.

I'll have to check this out once I'm on my PC, and not on this laptop. I really liked the direction Rage took with Unity and Soundchaser (especially this album), so the change in direction has me nervously curious.

It's not really a change, more like a U Turn. Hahaha. They brought back the Lingua Mortis Orchestra...or whatever it's called, so it's got that XIII vibe again.
