Well, just listened to-the opening track is easily the best.

Ari Honkonen sounds a lot like Skulhedface from that GWAR song. anyone who hates Reverend Bizarre and early Black Sabbath should categorically not listen to this at any point in their lives..

still np: Zebulon Pike - And Blood Was Passion

this has Opeth syndrome and it's getting vaguely frustrating.. the band drops into HUGE stoner riffs which rule, but then the fourth bar adds or drops a beat and kinda kills the momentum, and no passages are really revisited. there's like two hundred potential songs on this album.. I kinda hope a more traditional stoner band steals some riffs.

are these too short for your elitist taste Dee ?

sometimes I feel like shorter songs would enlighten the music you listen too (except for KC's Starless than can go for ages... it's that good !) I'm certain you'll disagree, but, whatever, I'm right ! :P

btw... technical Neurosis ? that sounds good... sample ?

here! I sent the longest one.. most of the rest were less than four minutes long.

I don't necessarily prefer longer tracks automatically, but when a band magically finds that sweet spot where the guitars sound perfect then I don't know why they'd cut that off so soon.. Dopesmoker for instance absolutely has to be 63 minutes long, I respect Sleep for disbanding because their record label didn't agree..

mind you, if you took a four track Tyranny CD and split it into ten tracks with a little variation, you'd have something like Nortt and I like both methods. long tracks just catch my eye 8)
