THE WILDHEARTS: New Album Title Revealed

Long-running U.K. rockers THE WILDHEARTS have completed the demo/pre-production process for their new album. Vocalist/guitarist Ginger states, "we had a blast in Finland recording at Seawolf studios. We even managed to drag our new manager, Virpi, out of engineering retirement to record these songs for us.

He continued, "The styles are very mixed up but this time we've tried to keep the lengths of the songs to 3:30 each. And overall we've succeeded. I think only one song exceeds the 3:30 mark, and that's the last track, complete with run-off riff/melody.

MADDER MORTEM: 'Eight Ways' Release Dates Announced

Norway's MADDER MORTEM will release its new album, "Eight Ways", in Europe on May 18, and in North America on June 16 via Peaceville Records.

'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK Working On New Solo Material

"Metal" Mike Chlasciak (SEBASTIAN BACH, HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM), considered by many to be one of metal's premiere guitar shredders, is currently in the studio finalizing pre-production for new solo material, after concluding a U.S. trek as a sideman axe-slinger for ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach. Bach toured the sheds and arenas last summer with DOKKEN and POISON on the "Live, Raw & Uncut Summer Tour". An official announcement regarding the project is expected sometime early spring.

In other news, Chlasciak has signed a personal representation deal through his C.M.M. Entertainment, LLC, with Chicago's sports and entertainment company MMW Marketing, LLC.

Documentary On TOOL Frontman's Wine Business To Begin Filming

The Pulse of Radio reports that a documentary about the efforts of TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan and his partner Eric Glomski to establish a wine-making industry in Arizona's Verde Valley is about to go into production. According to Keenan's publicist, the film will be co-directed by Christopher Pomerenke and Ryan Page, the same team that made the acclaimed music documentaries "Moog" and "The Heart Is A Drum Machine". The movie will showcase the "unusual and often metaphysical " location of the business, described by Keenan as "thick, dense, rich, complex, engaging and spiritual," while also profiling the mysterious singer and his wine-making partner.

BLAZE BAYLEY: 'Robot' Video Posted Online

"Robot", the new Kris McManus-directed video from former IRON MAIDEN/WOLFSBANE vocalist Blaze Bayley, can be viewed below. The track comes off Bayley's new album, "The Man Who Would Not Die", which was mixed by former WOLFSBANE guitarist Jase Edwards at Jase's studio in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. Released on July 7, 2008 via Bayley's own independent label (with additional licensing to various countries), the CD was engineered by James Dunkley, produced by Blaze Bayley and it takes Blaze in new songwriting directions, ushering in a new phase of an already renowned career. It is also the first recorded showcase for Blaze's new lineup.

Guitarist MIKE STONE Discusses His Departure From QUEENSRŸCHE

In his first interview since announcing his departure from QUEENSRŸCHE, guitarist Mike Stone tells "Rockin' Metal Revival" that he left the group on good terms. "Working with QUEENSRŸCHE has been awesome, and I don't have any problem with the guys in the band," he says. "It was time for me to move on and work on my own music."

Former SCAR SYMMETRY vocalist Christian Älvestam has posted a new song entitled "Bränd Mark" ("Burnt Ground" in English) from his THE FEW AGAINST MANY project (in which he plays rhythm guitar and sings).
