Former MOTÖRHEAD Guitarist 'FAST' EDDIE CLARKE Dead At 67

Former MOTÖRHEAD and FASTWAY guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke passed away yesterday (January 10) after a battle with pneumonia. He was 67 years old.

Clarke was a member of MOTÖRHEAD from 1976 until 1982. He was one-third of the band's classic lineup, which also included drummer Philthy "Animal" Taylor, who died in November 2015 of liver failure. Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister succumbed to cancer the following month.

Clarke, Taylor and Lemmy appeared on five albums together: MOTÖRHEAD's 1977 self-titled debut, 1979's "Overkill" and "Bomber", 1980's "Ace Of Spades" and 1982's "Iron Fist".

"Distance", the new video from Swedish metallers EVERGREY, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.

"Distance" is taken from EVERGREY's new album, "The Storm Within", which will be released on September 9 via AFM.

Legendary BLUE ÖYSTER CULT Producer SANDY PEARLMAN Dies At 72

Sandy Pearlman, one of the most important figures in rock history who worked as a full-time artist manager, managing the careers of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT and BLACK SABBATH (1979–1983), has passed away at the age of 72. He reportedly died early Tuesday morning (July 26) in Marin County, California. A cause of death was not specified.

Pearlman suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in December that left him "unable to walk, talk or fully comprehend his circumstances," according to a GoFundMe page set up by his friend to help pay medical expenses. Dutch doom death metal pioneers ASPHYX will release their new studio album, "Incoming Death", on September 30 via Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2012's "Deathhammer" was recorded at several different studios throughout 2016 and was once more mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, who previously worked with the band on the "Deathhammer", "Death…The Brutal Way" and "Live Death Doom" releases.

MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy died earlier today at the age of 70, it has been confirmed.

The surviving members of MOTÖRHEAD said in a statement: "There is no easy way to say this… Our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made its way down the street, with his family.

BOLT THROWER Drummer MARTIN 'KIDDIE' KEARNS Dead At 38

Martin "Kiddie" Kearns, the drummer of British death metal pioneers BOLT THROWER, has passed away at the age of 38. He died peacefully in his sleep after feeling sick at rehearsal.

In a statement, the surviving members of BOLT THROWER say: "With the heaviest of hearts, and still numb from shock, we have to share the very sad news that on Monday, BOLT THROWER lost our powerhouse drummer, Martin 'Kiddie' Kearns.

"After the first rehearsal for our upcoming tour of Australia, Kiddie suddenly felt unwell which continued throughout the night, and the next day he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
