It’s a tripple thrash treat and then some!

Let me refresh your memory for a short while… Destruction has played the festival, so has Kreator. Who’s missing then? You guessed it, the mighty SODOM will shread some bones and blow the concret roof of Garage Thursday the 25th of August. Belting out ravishing thrash metal for well over two decades now, Sodom has been a genre defining monster alongside Slayer, Possessed, Destruction and Kreator, influencing countless of bands emerging in their footsteps. Heavily influenced by the likes of Venom, Motörhead and Mercyful Fate, Sodom contributed to bring metal to a new level. Obsessed by cruelty? Yes, indeed.

Those of you who have been counting bands on Friday, will have noticed that there are only five entries in the program. Hm… that should be one short. Well here are entry number six: Doom pioneers, ANATHEMA, will pack their bags and head over from the UK to show you what they have been up to lately. Anathema is currently in the studio recording the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2003 effort, A Natural Disaster. We simply can’t wait.

For those of you who can’t get enough of the strange old brew, Oslo favourites, VESEN, will go metal thrashing mad on Thursday as well.
