Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED will release their new album, "Exit Wounds", on August 25 in Europe and September 2 in North America via Century Media. KING DIAMOND Announces North American Tour

KING DIAMOND has confirmed what has been rumored for several weeks: the band will return to North America for a full tour this fall! The trek, which will wrap up with the previously announced performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas, begins on October 11 in Atlanta, Georgia. A limited-edition KING DIAMOND jacket will be available through the SHOWstubs.com fan club presale, which begins tomorrow, June 24. Tickets will be on sale online and at box offices nationwide on Friday, June 27.

Former THE GATES OF SLUMBER Bassist JASON MCCASH Dies

Jason McCash, former bassist, co-songwriter and co-lyricist for Indianapolis doomsters THE GATES OF SLUMBER, has reportedly passed away. He was 37 years old.

In a posting on Facebook, THE GATES OF SLUMBER vocalist/guitarist Karl Simon wrote: "My best friend died last night.

"There will be no reunion — no more of THE GATES OF SLUMBER. It's dead beyond dead, and I've lost a brother.

"Please be respectful or silent. It's a small world and I'm still alive. Remember that shit."

McCash announced his departure from THE GATES OF SLUMBER last September, explaining that it was "just time for me to leave."

GWAR Frontman DAVE BROCKIE A.K.A. ODERUS URUNGUS Dead At 50

**UPDATE**: GWAR's manager, Jack Flanagan, has released the following statement:

"It is with a saddened heart that I confirm my dear friend Dave Brockie, artist, musician, and lead singer of GWAR, passed away at approximately 6:50 p.m. EST Sunday, March 23, 2014. His body was found Sunday by his bandmate at his home in Richmond, Virginia. Richmond authorities have confirmed his death and next of kin has been notified. A full autopsy will be performed. He was 50 years old, born August 30, 1963.

"My main focus right now is to look after my bandmates and his family.

"More information regarding his death shall be released as the details are confirmed."
