How did i get into metal you say?I still remember vividly. It all started when i was in the third grade. My aunt had passed away that year and my 17 yearold cousin had come to live with my family and I. Upon her arrival, i remember her bringing a case of casettes filled with Metallica, Zepplin, Skid Row, Nazareth...etc, which i was anxious to forridge through as i was pretty sick of the greek farmers' music my father would always play at that time. So thats how it all started. I fell in love with metal in the third grade and listened to it until my parents heard me singing some of the lyrics. With tapes now confiscated, i drifted away from music until highschool where i became an avid fan of the punk and hardcore scenes. Politics, Reading, Shows and partying took up the later half of highschool, until that day that i was introduced to Rhapsody and In Flames. From that moment on my whole perception of music widened and my old metal spirit was rekindled.... and thats a brief historical/musical insight into moi.
Musical interests:
  • Favourite genres: Its pretty pointless to start listing my favorite genres of music since i like something in virtually all of them. I guess thats the beauty of metal, its ability to incorporate virtually something from all spectums of music. So as you can assume, metal is number-fuckin'-one for me by a mile.
  • Favourite bands: In no particular order... Children of Bodom, Propagandhi, In Flames, Kalmah, Dimmu Borgir, Strung Out, Opeth, Raised Fist,(old)Offspring, Norther, (old)Metallica, Nightwish, Misfits, Iron Freakin' Maiden, Hammerfall, Edguy, Fintroll, Billy Idol, Demons and Wizards, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Death, Converge, Immortal, Liquid Tension Experiment, Moonspell, Refused, Rhapsody... and tons more.
I'm human too:
  • Cool day job: Currently studying political science at McGill University, Plant salesman, and metalreviewer!!
  • Hobbies: Shredding the slopes (boarding), The Gym, Readin', and Drinking beer at Charbonneau in all weather conditions
  • Bragging about education/college degrees: degree in social science at Dawson College, and currently working for a B.A in Political Science at McGill University, then onward to law.
  • Other stuff I can be proud of: My little bro, who i'm shaping to be young metalhead. All of my great friends. My electronic gadgetry. Steve Harris's wristband which was given personally to me and my bro. Knowing that i've traveled all over the world. And most of all, eating 24 inches of Subway in 20 minutes (all dressed)
