Rhapsody has definitely opened the gates to what we call today the Hollywood metal with their first record Legendary Tales. After Secret Sphere, Domine, here comes Projecto. Between you and me, I prefer to talk of the "spaghetti metal wave" (no insult here).

Unfortunately for the listener, not everybody sings like Fabio Lione and the main problem of Projecto in this Crown Of Ages is the vocalist, Robert Bruccoleri. You always have the feeling he is going to explode and sometimes he sounds out of tunes. I suppose he would have done a killing if he was singing lower as he runs into big problems when he try to "high pitch" his vocals.

Musically, Projecto is good (excellent musicians and excellent solos !!!) and I admit that the potential is here, but I see it two ways : 1) the singer improves dramatically or 2) Projecto runs for a new vocalist. It is a shame because at the end the vocalist destroy everything the band creates. I am sure he tries to do its best, but again, very few vocalists can sing high notes (Halford, Ripper, Bruce Dickinson) and Robert Bruccoleri should better try to be ... Robert Bruccoleri.

Last but not least, the drawing of Luis Royo is again wonderful, but it won't save the day ... unfortunately for Projecto.
