Ah these Germans. Always here to reminds us how to play heavy metal .... HEAVY METAL !!!!!!!!

No questions here of true metal, speed metal, symphonic or power metal. Mystic Prophecy plays typical heavy metal of the 80's. As usual, Judas Priest or Iron Maiden are not that far away, but this type of metal sounds ironically fresh after more than four years of true metal.

After an insignificant intro, Sky's Burning puts the fire ;-) into my CD player. Fast tempo, melodic and very Germanic of course. On the other hand, some bands like Iced Earth or Primal Fear have already opened that road a long time ago and the vocalist (R.D. Liapakis) is far away behind Barlow or Scheepers. However, Mr. Liapakis is singing sometimes like ... Paul Stanley. I don't know if it is intentional, but when he sing like Paul, he does a pretty good job.

Do not expect too much from that one, but if you like rough heavy metal, guitars screaming for vengeance ;-), Judas Priest, Accept, Sinner, Primal Fear and fast rhythm, check this one. You might appreciate Vengeance ... as I did. Nice surprise indeed !

Killing Songs :
No killer songs here, just a CD full of good songs.
